Our new 30-bed hospital features three ORs, dedicated endoscopy and radiology spaces, and a 17-bed emergency department with two trauma bays. This new, state-of-the art facility also provides larger, more spacious patient rooms, designed with your comfort in mind.

Angel Medical Center, located in Franklin, NC, is a full-service, critical access hospital, serving Macon and the surrounding counties. Outpatient services include a wound clinic, a full laboratory, digital mammography, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The hospital also operates Mission My Care Now Angel and CarePartners Hospice & Palliative Care.

Angel Medical Center has been named an Acute Stroke Ready hospital by the Joint Commission and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association; Get With the Guidelines Stroke Plus with Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus from the American Stroke Association; and Target Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll from the American Heart Association.

Unit Specifics:
• Number of Beds: 101
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 typically- medical, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
• Unit staffing description-Techs available- work in cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area, triage, Unit clerks days and nights
• Type of equipment: baxter pumps, GE monitors
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend, can't commit to block scheduling, scheduling must meet the needs of the dept.
• Floating policy: No floating outside of the ED but must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
• Patient Experience requirements: AIDET, Respectful behavior, Pt Experience to each patient, Boards updated with info and pt updated throughout visit

Hiring profile Requested Skill Set:
• 2 years experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume 100,000 visit ED.
• Previous HCA experience preferred.
• Must have: 2 years experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in ER setting, teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED.
• Advanced skills needed: Procedures performed on unit.
