If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a new or ext assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.

Unit Details Float Required: Can float to MICU or any other department where needed if census is low. Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses: Primarily Cardiac Diagnoses (i.e. CHF, STEMI) Unit does take MICU/SICU overflow - so can have a multitude of patient diagnoses on the unit Special Procedures/Unit Details: This is a new ICU addition for facility - Plan to expand from 4 beds to 16 beds once volume warrants. South Carolina RN License: MUSC will prioritize candidates that have SC license in hand. We will still consider candidates with a pending license at the time of submission please provide proof that they have applied for the license or confirm that they can complete the SC walk-through process. Traveler will not be cleared to report to the facility until SC license is issued/active.
