Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.
Qualifications: • Active state licensure. • Minimum years of experience. • BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently.

Job Requirements & Qualifications • Minimum 1 year experience required. • VA or compact state must be in hand at time of submittal. • Locals accepted at same base rate. No radius rules for applicants. • 2 References Required. • Candidates will float within scope if needed. • BSN preferred. • EPIC charting experience required. • Facility will review all background hits, etc.
Return Staff Policy: • Both travelers and permanent staff must be gone for one year before being eligible to return as a traveler.

• All ER and Psych candidates are required to submit to fingerprinting as outlined in the code of Virginia, 37.1-183.3. The average turnaround time for the results is 15-20 business days. Candidates are NOT allowed to start with results pending. Please plan start dates accordingly.
Modules: • All VCU candidates will be assigned modules during orientation on the VCU Learning Exchange. • Modules are non-billable, average 6 hours of modules factored in NBO. • Modules are completed during orientation, and vary by specialty. Modules are required to be completed while working on their unit by the Friday of their orientation week.
