Accurately charges for patients and unit supplies. Administers and controls narcotics and medications. Administers IV fluids according to the PCS Policy and Procedure. AGES SERVED (a): Infant, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients/individuals served. Demonstrates and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patients/individuals status and interpret relative to his age-specific needs, and to provide the care/service needed. Communicates effectively with all members of the patient care team including patients, family and physicians. Compassionately provides care to patients acknowledging physiological, psychological and developmental needs. Demonstrates correct and safe techniques in the use of office and patient care equipment. Demonstrates the ability to handle emergency situations in a prompt, precise and professional manner. Develops an individual plan of care specific to each patients age, growth and developmental status. Sets priorities for nursing actions in a logical sequence. Performs an appropriate and complete assessment for each patient assigned utilizing assessment techniques specific to the patients age, growth and developmental status. Performs nursing duties as delineated in and according to the guidelines found in the WCU Skills Inventory Checklist and WCU Policies and Procedures. Provides and documents appropriate patient and family education. Provides effective leadership by directing and/or delegating tasks to other members of the health care team who provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN. Willingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned.
