Certs: • BLS
PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: • ACLS • Interpretation of dysrhythmias • Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management • Management of drips • CVA • Pre/Post Neuro Surgery • Spinal cord injuries
JOB DETAILS: • Target Ratios: 1:6-7 (Must be comfortable with these ratios) • Shift: 12HR NIGHTS • 36 or 48 hours accepted. If 48, then no OT billed until after 48 hours. • 13-26 weeks accepted • RTO: 7 Days MAX for Aya Auto Offer • Float Requirement: Floating to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding • Weekend Requirement: Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend
Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
UNIT ORIENTATION: • 12 hour unit orientation • 16 hour organizational education
SCRUBS: Navy
Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
Fatigue Policy: Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row and/or more than 60 hours in a week.
Modules: • Modules are non-billable • Acute Care roles: 8-10 hours of modules • Non-Acute roles: 4-5 hours of modules • Modules must be completed pre-start and annually, and hours vary by specialty • Modules are recorded via online learning, and Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes
