Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program. BLS required. CST preferred but not required. Candidate must possess a minimum of current or very recent 2 years of Open-Heart experience. Excellent critical thinking and knowledge of central processing and instrumentation required. The Surg Tech will be required to float/assist in General Surgery when CVOR volumes are low. The Surg Tech will work 40 hours/week, working either four (4) 10-hr days or five (5) 8-hour shifts (6a - 2:30p) per the traveler's preference. Surg Tech will take at least 2-3 days of call per week (dependent on staffing levels at the time). The weekend call starts at the time your shift ends on Friday and runs through Mondaymorning until 7a. There could be a possible holiday call rotation depending on how the holidays fall during the assignment.
