Unit Details: 5 West is a 34 bed General Medical Progressive Care Unit. All telemetry monitored beds providing cardiac surveillance. A Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department CCMD provides monitoring surveillance for the patients.
Patient Diagnoses: • Primary Pop: Stroke • Backup Renal Disorders • Sepsis with Lactic Acid less than or equal to 4 mmol/L and normotensive • Endocrine Disorders • Gastrointestinal Disorders • Hematological Disorders
Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary
