Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.
Qualifications: • Active state licensure. • Minimum 2 years of experience. • BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently. • ACLS, BLS, NIH required. • Cardiac Telemetry experience required. • Management and Interpretation of dysrhythmias. • Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management. • Titrate drips. • Must have experience with PCU Ratios - 1:5. • EPIC experience REQUIRED. • All RNs, regardless of specialty, are required to pass an EKG exam during compliance. The candidate is allowed 2 attempts at a Pass/Fail requirement. Study material is not provided so please plan accordingly.

Shift Details: • Days, 3x12-Hour (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) • Weekend rotation • Holiday rotation • No Call • Floating required as needed to all Cone Health campuses.
Unit Details: • Patient Age Groups: Adults • Daily Census: 30 • Number of Rooms: 34 • Number of Beds: 34 • Interdisciplinary Support: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary. • Patient Diagnoses: Primary Pop: Stroke, Backup Renal Disorders, Sepsis with Lactic Acid less than or equal to 4 mmol/L and normotensive, Endocrine Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Hematological Disorders. • Special Procedures/Unit Details: 5 West is a 34 bed General Medical Progressive Care Unit. All telemetry monitored beds providing cardiac surveillance. A Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department CCMD provides monitoring surveillance for the patients.

No Locals accepted. • Modules: Modules are non-billable, average 2-4 hours. Modules are completed during orientation, not included in NBO. Module hours are unit based, hours will vary.
