Additional Job Details: • RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. • Weekend Position (F/S/S) • Minimum Experience Required: 2 Years of Experience. Unit WILL Accept 1st Time Travelers. • Required Skills: IV Start and Telemetry. • Ratios: 1:5-6. • 36 or 48 Hours can be Offered. • 12 HR NIGHTS, Weekend Schedule Friday, Saturday, Sunday. • Required Weekends: Friday/Saturday/Sunday schedule. • Scheduling: Any absences have to be made up at the end of the contract and cannot be made up as an OT day. If nurse calls out on a weekend shift, they will have to automatically make another weekend shift up at the manager’s discretion per the 2020 policy. Unit cannot promise a block schedule at any time. Will do their best to accommodate requests, but at this time, are not able to assure that a block schedule can be secured.
Patient Diagnoses: • Pre/Post Cath, Pre/Post PPM & AICD, Watchmen Procedures, Stress Tests, Management of Arterial & Venous sheaths, TIA population, Carotid Stent Patient Management, Card-Tele, Management of Arrhythmias, Management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix Drips, and non-titrating Nitro Drips for stable CP, NSTEMI Patients.
Special Procedures / Unit Details: • CPPU is a 24 bed inpatient cardiac procedural unit housing cardiac telemetry along with pre and post cardiac procedural patients. Average length of stay is 1.8-2.4 days in length. There is rapid patient turnover on the unit, daily. There is an ADT (Admission, Discharge, Transfer) nurse available on the unit Monday-Friday during peak patient transition times. • Clinical Services Interviewer: Required experience with management of cardiac drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Renal Dose Dopamine, Lasix and non-titrating Nitro. Looking for Telemetry nurses that can handle the patient acuity and the high ratio.
