Shift Details: Shift: Day 4x10-Hour (06:30 - 17:00); Day 3x12-Hour (11:30 - 23:30) Description: Day/Evenings Hours: 0630-2330 Shifts: 8, 10, and 12 hrs. Hrs/week: 40 hrs/week Call hours: • M-F 2100-0630 • Saturday and Sunday: 12 hrs 0630-1900 and 1900-0630
Unit Overview: Join our team in a Level 1 Trauma 18-bed Operating Room. We perform a variety of surgeries, including General, Robotic, Laparoscopic, Trauma, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spinal, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant.
Responsibilities: • Provide care during surgical procedures. • Circulate and scrub, focusing on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases. • Work closely with the surgical team. • Maintain patient records in EPIC.
Requirements: • 2 years of OR RN experience. • Experience in Level 1 trauma centers and extensive scrub experience. • EPIC and BCLS certification.
Preferred Experience: • ENT • GU • Plastics • Burns
Facility & Patient Care Details: Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics Daily Census: 45-50 surgical procedures per day Number of Rooms: 18 Special Procedures/Unit Details: Level 1 Trauma 18 bed Operating room. Surgical procedures include, General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Spinal surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant.
Other Requirements/Notes: COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required Flu Vaccine: Required - Medical Exemptions Only Reference Requirements: • 2 professional references are required. • At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity (e.g., a supervisor). • Charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference. • No coworker references accepted. • Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more • Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location • RNs- must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission. • MRI techs - submittals without OH license are acceptable. • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
