13 weeks | Varied | 12-hour shift | 36 hours per week guaranteed

This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit. Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients. The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments, and the ability to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies. Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5-bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families. After-hours recovery of post-op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Must have at least three years of critical care experience
Education:
- An Associate Degree in Nursing is required
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registration:
- Must have and maintain a current, valid, unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States
- Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment:
- Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Must have Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) – NIHSS – NIH Stroke Scale must be completed within 6 months of hire
EMR System: Allscripts Knowledge/experience preferred
Shift: All shifts; will periodically FLOAT to ED, Med/Surg, or Peds in case of low census
COVID Exemptions: We do not accept religious exemptions. If a candidate submits for a medical exemption, we will have to get approval from our medical review board to proceed with onboarding.
Orientation***: Every two (2) weeks only.
Housing***: Shared contractor housing only, no pets or family allowed. must be submitted 2 weeks before the start date
Fingerprinting***: must be submitted and cleared before starting! PLEASE SUBMIT THE CURRENT ADDRESS FOR THE FINGERPRINT PACKET TO BE MAILED VIA FEDERAL EXPRESS**
Additional Requirements***: MUST provide copies of current immunizations, negative TB skin test proof of last two years, provide documentation of 2 MMR vaccinations, Tdap, and Flu shot. Clean background check, negative 10-panel drug screen within 7 days, all before arrival.
