Position: Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) Travel Nurse Shift: Day/Night rotation, every other weekend Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week On-Call: Required Patient Ratio: Estimated 1:1-2 Floating: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Experience Required: 3 years of Neuro ICU Experience Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA Certifications only) Skills Required: • IV Start • Telemetry • Ventilators • Intracranial Pressure Monitoring EHR Experience: Epic Preferred: Previous travel experience

Additional Unit Information Interdisciplinary Support: • IV Teams • Physical Therapy • Respiratory Services • Interpretation Services • Radiology • Social Services • Rapid Response Teams • Pharmacy • Transportation • Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses: The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis and Guillain-Barr syndrome, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgery patients undergoing procedures such as spinal surgery, craniotomies, and cerebrovascular surgery. Special Procedures/Unit Details: • Bedside procedures such as tracheostomy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), Central Line and arterial line placement, EVD placement. Special Equipment: • Patients requiring invasive neuromonitoring such as EVD monitoring and ICP monitoring. • Mechanically ventilated patients, EEG monitoring.
