Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.
Qualifications: • Active state licensure (e.g., RN, LPN, PT, OT). • Minimum years of experience in specialty. • BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently.

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week Total Hours: 36 hours per week
Responsibilities: • Someone who is willing to serve as charge nurse if needed. • Must demonstrate maximum flexibility and may be required to work every other weekend. • May be floated to units of equivalent or lower acuity as necessary. • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients • Perform IV starts and general nursing tasks such as monitoring, labs, medication administration, and patient education • Utilize EPIC for documentation and patient care management
Requirements: • Minimum of 2 year of nursing experience • Current BLS and IV certification • Proficiency in IV starts and general nursing skills • Experience with EPIC EMR system • Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Additional Unit Information: • Interdisciplinary Support : IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary • Patient Diagnoses : Bacteremia, CKD, COPD ex, AMS, Anemia/GIB, FTT, Falls, ABD pain, SI/Med hold • Special Procedures/Unit Details : 31 bed med surg unit, our daily census is around 25. Our unit mainly houses the medicine teaching services of med surg, we do not have a specific specialty service n our unit. • Special Equipment : NG/Dobhoff, Kangroo pump, Wound vac, chest tube
Travel Compliance: • There is a strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start no exceptions. • Please screen for any candidate vacation time taking place immediately after booking as this will likely cause a push due to fingerprinting delays. • Please only submit to one location. The AM team will find the best fit for the clinician. • PLEASE NOTE: ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE MADE AWARE OF THE URGENCY OF THE OHIO FINGERPRINTING PROCESS. Candidate must complete fingerprints as soon as they sign contract. TRAVELERS WHO ARE UNRESPONSIVE OR UNCOOPERATIVE WITH CREDENTIALING ARE AT RISK OF PUSH/CANCEL. • All candidates who are currently outside the state of Ohio but within driving distance will be required to drive to a fingerprinting location in Ohio as soon as possible after booking. • Travelers who are extreme distances from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet, which is to be completed urgently upon receipt. Detailed instructions will be sent to the candidate by the Credentialing team. • RTO required with submission, must be built into contract • Locals are accepted at the same rate
Reference Requirements: • 2 professional references are required. At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity (e.g., a supervisor). Charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference. No coworker references accepted. • Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more • Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location • RNs- must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission. • MRI techs - submittals without OH license are acceptable. • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
