Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Hartwell has post-op Cardiac and vascular Surgery patients. They can be from 17-24 hrs old or a fresh post carotid endar. fem. End. endo. AAA from PACU. It is a surgical step-down unit for post CV Surgery patients. Candidates would have strong Cardiac Tele Experience as well.

Additional Unit Information • Interdisciplinary Support : IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary • Patient Diagnoses : Hartwell population consist of post Cardiovascular Surgery patients 17-24 hrs post-op, such as Coronary Artery Bypass, Mitral/Aortic Valve replacements, carotid Endarterectomies, Femoral Artery repairs & stents, Endo AAA, Open AAA, Bi-Fem. Repairs, LVADS, TAVRS, Pacer Lead revisions, Wound debridement, Lobectomies, Thoracotomies, and other minor CV Surgeries. • Drips: Insulin, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Argatroban, Heparin, Nitroglycerin. • Special Procedures/Unit Details : Coverage from NPs and PAs until 7 pm, then call MD on call.REQUIRED: MUST have Post Cardiac Surgery and Vascular Surgery experience • Special Equipment : -
Will consider nurses with 1+ years of recent experience in unit. Orientation is every Monday. Pre Assignment testing (all RN s) and modules required for all travelers to complete within 48 hours of receiving the login information (which usually comes within 24 hours of the nurse signing their contract). Travelers are eligible for reimbursement for hours spent completing modules (up to 16 hours) and time will be verified upon start of contract. EMR experience: 1-year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required If you have any issues, please let the Account Manager or your CS know ASAP. Floating: Prisma Health s goal is to keep staff in their home unit. However, it is a requirement for all assignments that agency staff, regardless of unit or facility, must float to other Prisma Health units and/or campuses per request due to census concerns. Staff will only be floating to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have already been demonstrated and documented.
