The Telemetry Nurse monitors and interprets rhythms, monitors patient's hemodynamic statuses, administers prescribed cardiac medications and Telemetry approved drips. The Telemetry Nurse is expected to recognize and assist patients in shock or those with other, life threatening, complications.
NOTE: Posted as MS Tele due to EKG requirement for all RNs & tele capable unit. However, the patient population will be primarily MS 3x12s, Nights, 7p-730a Float required as needed. All travelers subject to float across all Cone Health facilities if needed. Minimum 2 years experience required. FIRST TIME TRAVELERS - OK! BLS required, ACLS preferred. EPIC required Ratios are 1:5-6 Charge RN exp preferred Tele - remote monitoring exp req
Unit Details • Patient Age Groups : Adults, Geriatrics • Daily Census : 27 • Number of Rooms : 29 • Number of Beds : 29 • Interdisciplinary Support : IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary • Patient Diagnoses : inpatient department.1:5-6 ratio. Specializes in general surgical patients, pre-op and post-op care needs. Remote Tele capabilities, Medical overflow including all except true Cardiac with Bipap and drips. CNA support and Unit Secretary. If not enough staff, we do cap beds so RNs do NOT go over 6 patients.
