ER Nurse Job Description: Being ready to respond and equipped to deal with a medical emergency. Quickly assessing patient needs. Treating critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma. Performing minor medical operations. Cleaning wounds. Drawing blood. Maintaining emergency room care standards. Assisting with insurance paperwork. Ensuring the efficiency of the patient check-in process. Displaying strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios.
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) 3x12s, Nights, 7p to 7a(3p-3a occasionally if needed) Up to EOW and holiday coverage as needed No Call Minimum 2 years experience required, first time travelers -- OK! BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required EPIC required STEMI and Stroke facility experience required Special care populations include cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health. The hospital specialties include a cath lab, women's health, and stroke care. This department cares for all ages.
