We are seeking an experienced RN for our Skilled Nursing units. The candidate must have a current IL License and CPR. *Opportunities available to pick up additional hours!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Provides quality patient care by performing treatments and procedures according to established protocols. • Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment. • Administers specified medications as allowed by policy and procedure, licensure, and State Practice Act. • Responds in a safe and timely manner to patient requests and reports significant observations to the RN promptly. • Demonstrates knowledge of the patient's plan of care and delivers care safely and within established standards and guidelines. • Participates in planning for patient's care by providing input to the RN and under the direction of the RN, assists in implementing the patient care plan. • Demonstrates knowledge of established hospital and nursing policies. • Identifies emergency situations, initiates nursing measures as appropriate within scope of practice in emergency situations and seeks assistance and direction as necessary. • Instructs patients in self-care according to the teaching plan and the directions of the RN. • Documents this aspect of the patient's care.
