• Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.

Qualifications:
• Active state licensure.
• Minimum years of experience in specialty.
• BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently.

• Tech: Yes, only with 5+ more years of Cath lab experience in large 200+facility
• Strong Cath Tech; EP experience is preferred
• Average cases: 1-16/day; dependent on the days of the week

Patient Types:
• Cath: STEMI/NSTEMI; Angioplasty/Angiography, ASD, PFO, right/left heart Cath, thrombectomy
• EP: Pacemakers, generator changes, loop recorders, ICD lead revisions, cardioversions
• EP cases 1 day/week

Patient Ratios:
• 1:1

Required Certifications:
• Tech:
• Required: CVT, BLS, ACLS
• Preferred: RCIS, RTR-must have Cath lab experience

Skills required:
• Tech:
• Required: Monitor, pan, scrub, sheath pull
• Preferred: IABP (assist cardiologist with placement), EP, Rotor blade, PFO, knowledgeable in complex cases

Orientation:
• 2 days of orientation
• 1st day: Meet with educator (badge, login access, computer-based learning, compliance check list)
• 2nd day: on the unit training with preceptor
• Based on experience and comfort level
