Surgical Nurse Job Description:
• Giving preoperative instructions.
• Preparing patients for surgery.
• Assisting the Anaesthetist and Surgeons when needed.
• Sterilizing and marking incision sites.
• Intervening when there are complications.
• Administering medication.
• Preparing the operating room.

• Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 18:30)

• Years of experience REQ: 2 years minimum experience in specialty

• Certs REQ: BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes-Will float to all 3 hospitals (Martin North, South, Tradition - within 20miles)

• On call: 2-3 days call/weekly
• RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hrs for 3x12's 40 hrs for 8/10's
• Special Requirements: Please make sure traveler is aware that there are time sensitive modules that need to be prioritized first once confirmed for an assignment. Please do not delay.

• 18 months experience Required, 2 years exp. preferred
• Smoke Free Facility: All travelers MUST BE NICOTINE FREE- No Exceptions! -Negative 10 Panel + Nicotine (Cotinine) Drug screen required within 12 months of start.
• First time travelers accepted
• No Certs pending
• EKG and Pharm test required during orientation. 2 attempts max for each. No remediation for a re-test. Travelers will be cancelled if they fail. Study materials provided with FDI
