Additional Job Details: • Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) • Specialty: Medical Surgical / Registered Nurse • Start date: December 1st or December 15th • Experience Required: 2 years RECENT minimum, strict on this. • Patient Ratio: 1:6/7 (utilizing team nursing model) • First-timers accepted: No • On-Call: As needed • Weekend Requirement: As needed • Block schedule: No, weekend block may be considered. RTO sent after the offer will not be sent to facility for approval. • Special Requirements: Level I Trauma Experienced Required, Travel experience required, Large Hospital Experience Required. • Hospital Highlights: Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center. • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required • Flu Vaccine: Required - No Exemptions • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • Skills: Administer Chemo, Conscious Sedation, IV START • Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics • Daily Census: 30-35 • Number of Beds: 45 • Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation. • Patient Diagnoses: 45 bed floor with primary surgical oncology patients with medical oncology overflow and medical-surgical overflow. The ratio 5-6:1. We have many patients with central lines (PAC, PICC lines, and midlines). We perform wound care, drains, ostomies, and Foleys. We have PCA pumps and patients receiving chemotherapy for ONS nurses only. Limited phlebotomy coverage at night. • Special Procedures/Unit Details: Med/surg, oncology. • Floating: RNs can be floated between like units and campuses within 20 miles of each other, however, floating between campuses (unless specifically stated in posting) will be rare. • Traveler requirements: 2+ years of experience for ALL specialties. 3+ is preferable. At least 1 completed previous travel assignment. Active RN license in the state or compact license. The only positions that require a BSN are for Le Bonheur Children's, Methodist Rheumatology and the Centralized staffing positions (float pool). All other positions allow ADN. Cerner Experience preferred. • Holiday Requirements: During end of the year holidays: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years fall during assignment, traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays. If 2 holidays fall during assignment, traveler must be willing to work at least 1 of the 2.
