Unit Specifics:
• Number of Beds: 35
• Patient Ratios: 5-7:1
• Unit staffing description: Techs per census, usually 2-4
• Type of equipment: Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scanner
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend
• Floating policy: may be floated to other Med Surg depts.

Patient Experience requirements: Rehab experience preferred

Hiring Profile

Must have:
• Med/Surg or PCU experience
• BLS and VA License

Preferred:
• Rehab experience
• Advanced skills needed: none

Procedures performed on unit:
• Med administration to include IVs, PICC, PEG tube admin
• Bladder scans
• Trach care
• Tube feeding
• Foley cath
• Bladder irrigation
• Blood Administration

Dress Code: Navy blue or white solid scrubs
