ER Nurse Job Description: Being ready to respond and equipped to deal with a medical emergency. Quickly assessing patient needs. Treating critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma. Performing minor medical operations. Cleaning wounds. Drawing blood. Maintaining emergency room care standards. Assisting with insurance paperwork. Ensuring the efficiency of the patient check-in process. Displaying strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios.

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Requirements: • American Heart Association (AHA) Approved Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC • Patient Ratio: 1:4 • FLU VACCINE REQUIRED DURING OCTOBER 2024- MARCH 2025 FLU SEASON - DECLINATIONS NOT ACCEPTED • RN LICENSURE • CERNER PREFERRED • ANY MISSED SHIFT REQUIRES WORKING A MAKE-UP SHIFT DURING THE SAME WORK WEEK (IF POSSIBLE) OR DURING THE SAME PAY PERIOD (IF NOT POSSIBLE DURING THE SAME WORK WEEK) • Minimum 2 YEARS RN EXPERIENCE required • WV OR COMPACT LICENSE - PENDING LICENSE ACCEPTABLE • Minimum 2 Manager or Charge References within the past 2 years • Certifications should be listed on application at time of submittal • BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications must be via American Heart Association, if the Certification is required by the unit. • Any previous probationary actions on license will be considered on case-by-case basis.

Modules: • Modules are non-billable, average 8 hours spent on modules • Modules are completed prior to start and included in 16hrs of NBO, and modules do not vary by specialty • Modules are recorded on a transcript and monitored by the compliance team, who reports module completion to the facility
