Unit Notes: • Cannot take any travelers living within a 60 mile radius of the facility. • Please provide good interview times in submission. Manager will reach out directly to interview prior to offering.
MUST Have: • Min 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting, 250+ beds • BLS - must be AHA • Level 1 trauma experience • Willing to float to all MS units on all 3 campuses in Fargo as needed
General job duties. Types of procedures required. Collaborates with other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. 7CD is a 32-bed inpatient Medical-Specialty Unit. The patients we provide care for are adult medical/surgical patients, as well as patients experiencing behavioral disturbances. Wide variety of med/surg patients. All of our rooms are private with their own bathroom/toilet and gait belt/walker for safe patient mobility. Will get some behavioral admits.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EMR-Epic, Telemetry, Philips monitors, Bladder scanner, Acuivein, Omnicell
Required skills and minimum years of experience. • 1 year med/surg experience. • Experience with large hospital, busy environment.
Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. • BLS - must be AHA. • ND or compact state RN license.
Shift or schedule requirements. • 12 hour Day/Night rotation, every other weekend and holiday- We don t have a certain time frame that they rotate. They might work 3 weeks days than 3 weeks nights one schedule cycle and the next schedule cycle all days or all nights. All depends on the unit needs. • The travelers can self schedule however they are only guaranteed to have the days off that are listed on their contract and during balance may be moved off a shift that they self-scheduled to balance the unit. If staff do need a specific day off and we can t support it as the switch would off balance our unit we ask them to find someone to trade with like we do our badge staff. There is usually high success in finding someone to switch with. • When we balance the schedule we are very mindful that staff aren t flipping back and forth from days to nights frequently.
Floating to over units/departments. • 7CD home unit can float to any med/surg unit within Fargo

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. • 5:1 on days • 6:1 on nights
All clinicians must badge in and out at facility.

MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health. If clinician previously worked with Sanford, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.
