JOB DETAILS: • Ratios: 1:2 • Shift: 0645-1915 3x12s • Call Requirement: once every four weeks • Weekend Requirement: Varies • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.
PATIENT DIAGNOSES: • Vascular and Endovascular • Neurosurgery and Orthopedics • Gynocology and Urology • General and Bariatric • Plastics and ENT • Opthamoogy • Children - T&A, Ears, Hernias, Cleft Lip/Palate • Phase II - when that unit is full • May recover Surgical patients in the ICU setting
SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Phase 1 Recovery Unit that provides observation and care of the patients who have undergone surgical procedures requiring anesthesia. We receive patients directly from the OR, EP Lab, Endo, IR, MRI and patients that are ICU who need to be recovered before being admitted to the units. PACU is a varied and challenging practice environment where recovery may take 30 to 90 minutes, depending on when patient reaches the criteria for discharge to Phase ll, home, post op tower or ICU. Nights and w/ends we recover as well as discharge Phase II patients. Also, have overnight patients, that are tower and/or ICU.
