Qualifications: • Active state licensure (e.g., RN, LPN, PT, OT). • Minimum years of experience in specialty. • BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently.

Unit Notes: Department: 2E SICU • # Beds: 16, plus 2 additional procedural beds. • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2, 1:1 higher acuity pts (ex. CRRT, immediate post-op hearts, MTP, OPO), 1:3 medsurg/floor status pts. • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Cardiovascular surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, AAA), traumas (level 2 trauma center), NSTEMI/STEMI, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, ortho surgery, ENT surgery, any other surgical pts needing ICU. • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have experience with our patient populations and high acuity, we are the tertiary care center for MCHS. CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO experience are not required but certainly desired/helpful. All our nurses take care of POD 1 heart patients, immediate postop heart patients cared for 1:1 by specifically trained nurses. • Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes. • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Epi, norepi, propofol, precedex, vaso, dobutamine, heparin, insulin, dopamine, neo, milrinone. • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge nurse on every shift, model to not take patients but sometimes must based on census/need. Nursing House Supervisor available 24/7. • Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes, one NA for entire unit during day shift. Not typical to have NA on night shift. • Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes, intensivist in house 24/7. • RT in ICU 24/7: Yes. • RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc): Any and all including vents, bipap, vapotherm, etc. • Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: No, tele techs on our unit, RNs monitor own patients telemetry. RNs read and document their patient rythym strips. GE monitors. • Shifts & Scheduling: 0700-1930 or 1900-0730. Our staff self-schedule, but agency I always schedule to our needs accounting for their approved RTO. Manager will try to accommodate as best she can while still meeting unit staffing needs. • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend (or more if willing/able). • Holiday Requirements: Every other holiday (or more if willing/able). • Is there a call or standby requirement?: Only during scheduled shift if low census (per agency allowed hours). • Floating Requirements: If not needed in SICU for a scheduled shift, able to staff in MICU. If not needed in either SICU or MICU, able to be patient observer within hospital (ex. Suicide direct observation or bipap safety, etc.). • Scrub Color/Dress Code: No specific color required, clean and professional. • Unit/Department specific orientation: One day system onboarding/CBT completion, followed by two orientation shifts on the unit. Must complete skills checklist. *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield. If clinician previously worked with Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.*
