Additional Unit Information • Interdisciplinary Support : IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation • Patient Diagnoses : Interventions provided in Critical Care include, but are not limited to: Continuous monitoring of ECG rhythms; oxygen saturation monitoring; pulmonary artery pressure; cardiac output; use of ventricular assist devices (VAD); intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP); cardiac pacemakers; unstable post-cath lab procedure patients; administration of vasoactive intravenous medications; continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT); Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO); therapeutic hypothermia ventilator
Special Procedures/Unit Details : • VV ECMO • CRRT • ARDS with proning • Variable just means I either put them on Days or Nights but 8 hour shifts don t help us much. We typically have all 12 hr shifts in here. If I am unable to fill 12hr I might consider 8s but it isn t ideal. Please screen if NO EPIC
