Day/Eve ratios are 5 to 1 (stretch 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretch 8 -10 if staff calls in). We have PCTs on all units that do vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs and any sort of activity of daily living. We have an in-house phlebotomy team that does all peripheral lab draws; nursing is responsible for PICC lines and central lines.
