Schedule: • Night Shift | 11:00 PM 7:00 AM • 5 shifts per week | 40 hours • Every other weekend & holiday required • FLOATING REQUIRED • Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per contract • Paragon charting system • Community hospital | 90 beds
Position Overview As a Med Surg/Tele Float RN, youll provide comprehensive bedside care, interpret your own telemetry strips, manage IV therapies, and support multiple units across the facility based on patient volume and staffing needs. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and the ability to step confidently into any Med Surg or Telemetry setting.
Requirements • Active New York State RN License (NYS ONLY) • Minimum 2 years Med Surg/Telemetry experience • BLS (AHA) & ACLS (AHA) required • Ability to interpret telemetry independently • NIHSS certification & 6 CEUs in stroke care required prior to start • IV experience required (no IV team onsite) • Travel experience preferred • Must be willing and able to FLOAT • Must pass a proctored EKG exam on Day 1 • At least two years recent experience in field, current BLS certification, and a current nursing license per the state of assignment
