Job Description: Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations. Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images. Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort. Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast. Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation. Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records. Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies. Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice. Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Additional Information: Shift time: 0730 to 1600 or late shift 0830 to 1700 to complete cases. Weekend requirement: Cover call vacancy if needed. Minimum years of experience required: 2. EP diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed in 2 EP labs. Primary EP scrub, implants and ablations. Experience Required: Hemodynamic monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Laser Assisted Procedures. Charting System: Epic. Scrubs are provided. Patient Age Groups: Adults. Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services.
Patient Diagnoses: Combined EP and Cath lab. EP diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed in 2 EP labs. Primary work in EP lab. If experience in CCL, too, may be asked to assist.
Special Procedures/Unit Details: • EP: Ablations (RF): Afib/flutter, VT, SVT, PVCPFA, Device implants (PPM, BiV, ICD), Gen changes, Device upgrades, Lead extractions, Loop placement and removal, Stim, Watchman. • CATH: Left heart, Right heart, CTO, PCI, arthrectomy, shockwave, IVUS, FFR, iFR, dFR, Impella, IABP, ECMO insertion.
