Surgical Technologist Job Description:
• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
• Helping provide great patient care.

Unit Details:
• Level 1 Trauma Center Main OR
• Years of experience required: 2+
• Experience required: Must have experience in scrubbing total joints; Must have neuro, transplant, and vascular experience.
• Weekend requirement: Call only
• Call requirement: 6 weekdays in a 6-week period and 2 weekends in a 6-week period
• Holidays required: 1 on call Holiday and 1 work Holiday
• Charting system: Cerner
• Scrubs are provided
• First-time travelers are welcome
