Surgical Technologist Job Description: • Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries. • Sterilizing equipment and instruments. • Stocking adequate supplies for surgery. • Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites. • Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies. • Tracking surgical supplies. • Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures. • Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team. • Helping provide great patient care.
Additional Information: • Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (11:00 - 19:00) • Shift: (2) 8s & (2) 12s 11a- 11p & 11a-7p • Level 1 Trauma Center Main OR • Certifications required: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT Certification is required • Years of experience required: 2+ • Experience required: Must have experience in scrubbing total joints; Must have neuro, transplant, and vascular experience • RTO Required upon submission • 13 weeks • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated • Weekend requirement: Call only • Call requirement: 6 weekdays in a 6-week period and 2 weekends in a 6-week period • Holidays required: 1 on call Holiday and 1 work Holiday • Charting system: Cerner • Scrubs are provided • First-time travelers are welcome • Please provide interview availability with submission • Please be sure to review the submittal instructions • COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required • Flu Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Submission Requirements: • RTO: RTO is due at time of submission. RTO after submission will not be accepted. Please ensure your traveler does not have any time off planned that will prevent them from completing pre-start compliance on time for the proposed start date. • Block Scheduling cannot be accommodated. • Interview Availability Please provide a range of 3-5 days for potential interview times (travelers with provided interview times will be prioritized) • Local Radius: 50 miles • Compliance: Travelers MUST complete labs within 48 hours of signing • PA Fingerprints are REQUIRED and may require travel time (over 100 miles). If your traveler does not have a PA Childline and FP result from within 5 years of start they must go in at the earliest offered fingerprint date or risk being cancelled as results take up to 2 weeks to process, these cannot pend. • Valid State License or Certification is required at time of submission. • Valid References and copies of certifications are required. • Auto Offers: Managers have 48 hours to review, interview and confirm a traveler for an Auto Offer. • Modules: If completed in the first 8 hours of orientation, modules are non-billable, any time spent on modules after first 8 hours of orientation are billable • Modules are completed during orientation • Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks:91
