Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.

Functioning within the Health System s mission, vision, values, policies and procedures, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning, directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
Submission requirements: • 2+ Years of Experience -Required • Chest tube and other drain management Experience -Required • Post-operative open heart care experience-Required • Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access -Required • Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including: reading and interpreting cardiac rhythym strips, recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms-Required • Advanced knowledge of cardiac andpulmonary abnormalities • Experience with the following procedures and equipment (assisting with chest tube removal, assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires, management of temporary pacers, including pericardial and transcutaneous devices, use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems -Required • Critical Care Experience- Highly Preferred • BLS ACLS (AHA) -Required • Must float to all units within skill level-Required
