About Facility • Milwaukee, WI • Level III Trauma Center • Level III NICU • Magnet Designation • Primary Stroke Center • Beds: 938 • General Information • OR Beds: 21 • Experience: 2 year • First-time traveler: Further approval/evaluation from hiring supervisor; Would not recommend for first time travelers • Patient Ratios: • 1:1 • Required Certifications: • RN: BLS • Support on the Unit: • Charge Nurse, Leads, Supervisors • Charting System/Equipment: • EPIC • Alaris • Pyxis • Floating: • Cross trained to all Main OR specialties and Urology center but no floating to other hospitals. • Orientation: • 1-1 ½ weeks depending on Team and shift: (Subject to change based on unit needs) • Scheduling: • Variable start times for Day shift (Anywhere between 5:30am-7am) • Weekend rotation: N/A • On Call • 30 min response time • Holiday Expectations: *Holiday weeks—Offer 4 10/hr or agency can work normal hours and request to not work (take unpaid) the Holiday • Scrub Color: Surgical scrubs provided by hospital; Scrub caps allowed but needs to be covered by a surgical bouffant • Parking: Free Parking; Days—Detached lot, 2 blocks away; PMs—Lot attached to hospital • Food: Starbucks & Cafeteria on campus • No Call rooms available
