Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care in accordance with healthcare facility policies and procedures. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Maintain accurate patient medical records and documentation. • Adhere to infection control standards and other regulatory requirements. • Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans and treatments.
Qualifications: • Active state licensure. • Minimum 3 years of experience with required skillsets. • BLS/CPR certification (ACLS, PALS, or others as required by specialty). • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to adapt to different environments and work independently. • Previous perm employees of ANY Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. • All Swedish facilities honor active compact license. • Will accept first time travelers. • Previous charge experience preferred. • Charting experience preferred.
Unit Details: • Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) • On call every other weekend - Varies may be every other • Staffing Ratio 1:4 • Beds: 18 • Medication System: Pyxis • Charting System: EPIC • Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics • Number of Visits Per Day: 65 • Interdisciplinary Support: Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy
Patient Diagnoses: • General ED (sepsis, AMI, respiratory, abdominal pain, bone fractures, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, etc) • Psych, SUDO Chemical Dependency (in patient primarily, rarely seen in ED first). • Involuntary Status, Medical Psych, Restraints, Seclusion, Voluntary Status • 10% pediatrics
Skills: • Work Settings: General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi (REQUIRED), Level II Trauma Center (PREFERRED) • Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias (REQUIRED) • IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Starting IVs (REQUIRED) • Medications: IV vasopressors, Procedural Sedation Administration (REQUIRED) • Respiratory: CPAP/BiPAP, Ventilated patients (REQUIRED) • Professional Topics and Skills: Triage (REQUIRED) • Additional Skills: Trauma Level II or III
Other Details: • Scrubs: professional any color • RTO is a case by case approved. Must add additional time to contract to make up time for RTO • NO self scheduling for travelers
