Floor Beds, 6 Step-Down Beds, 6 Peds Beds. Multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients. A six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit provides an intermediate level of care. Ideal candidates could have a background of PCU, IMC, Trauma, SDU. Travelers would not be required to see the Peds patients. It is possible that the unit could use a traveler for floor beds only this will be discussed at interview.
Ratios: • Floor RN: 1:5 • SDU: 1:3
Orientation/Start Dates held every other week on Thursday
• 2 Years of RN Experience Required • 1 Year in-specialty Experience required • 1st Time Travelers Accepted if experienced in ICU / Trauma • or contract options • Every other weekend required • BLS, ACLS, Fit Test, CPI (Travelers can get CPI done with Qualivis), TNCC preferred
Clinician can be floated within scope to meet facilities needs Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests mi. Radius Rule (mi. can be sent for facility approval) WV/Compact RN License required - can submit with pending RN license s guaranteed
Flu Shot: Please DO NOT SEND ANYONE WHO REFUSES FLU SHOT WITHOUT MEDICAL PROOF. CAMC requires all personnel take flu vaccine unless they have allergy documented by an allergist or physician record. CAMC FLU SEASON IS OCTOBER 1st - MARCH st. NOT REQUIRED OUTSIDE OF THAT WINDOW.
